ATT. URU Requesting a meeting with Udenrigsudvalget
Dear Honorable members,
As a Dane political officer for the United Nations. I have insight on the
situations in Sudan, Chad, and the armed movements stationed in Libya. I
would like to brief and share the valuable information to the Udenrigsudvalget.
The situation in Sudan is having ripple effects on neighboring countries, and the
Sahel crisis spanning from Mali to the Red Sea is deeply concerning. The huge
increasing influx of individuals seeking refuge will increase significantly and
burden on European nations, necessitating a serious response to this complex
issue. A key challenge faced by humanitarian organizations and stakeholders is
gaining access to vulnerable populations in need.
The conflict dynamics have evolved into a more intricate web, complicating the
delivery of critical life-saving aid to those trapped in conflict zones, such as
Khartoum, the Kordofans, and the Darfur states. In Khartoum state,
approximately 3.9 million individuals (55% of the population) are experiencing
high levels of food insecurity.
