Dear colleague,
We, the chairmen of the Danish Foreign Policy Committee and the Foreign
Affairs Committee, welcome your letter dated 2 March 2022.
We wish to express our full and wholehearted solidarity with the people of
Ukraine in the face of the Russian invasion. We condemn in the strongest
terms Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified military aggression.
On 3 March 2022, the Danish Parliament paid a tribute to Ukraine with the
ambassador of Ukraine as an honorable guest.
Our collective message was clear. We stand with you. Not just with words,
but with concrete actions. Together with our partners, we call on Russia to
end the war and return to the path of peace. We reiterate our unwavering
support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
Denmark and our partners are working tirelessly to end the aggression, in-
cluding through unprecedented sanctions against Russia as well as the provi-
sion of weapons and humanitarian aid in support of Ukraine.
The people of Ukraine have made the brave choice to defend European val-
ues of liberty, democracy and the rule of law. You can count on our full and
unwavering support.
